paulsbrown Posted December 10, 2024 Posted December 10, 2024 This scheme was introduced to us by the aircraft's actual pilot over on ARC with some great shots of it in the paint shop. It mimics the splinter scheme of the early preproduction Su-57 Felon. This particular aircraft is from the 706th Aggressor Squadron of the 926th Wing known as the Cajuns and fortunately Two Bobs wasted little time making decals for it. I also used Bandit Resin Factory's ACMI pods. 54 2 7

Thanks! Tamiya block 30, the Arctic aggressor kit, small mouth intake/motor (kit has both). The Angry Kitten was from Bandit Resin Factory and the decals for it were included with the Two Bob's Cajun decals. 2

I am looking at the mid grey on the splinter looking at the decals, the the light grey is FS36628 , dark is the FS36118 - what did you do for the mid grey - the paint circle colours are so close! I am interpreting the middle splinter grey as FS36270? With the nose as FS36320 and rails as FS36375 as per the notes?
Billy54 Posted January 21 Posted January 21 Very nice! I do like most aggressor schemes especially this one with that striking. 1
SAT69 Posted January 21 Posted January 21 A unique set of markings and an excellent build. Quite the combination. 1

Correction - I mentioned this (Block 30A) aircraft had the small mouth intake but neglected to say they had the more powerful GE Engine that went with the largemouth, not the P&W. Yes on the splinter colors but the nosecone and intake lip are mixes based on the photos, I think I used mostly AMC Gray, FS36173. 1

No, neither did I until its pilot introduced us to it: http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index.php?/topic/334350-new-aggressors/ I thought it was too nice to resist and luckily Two Bobs saw fit to make decals. 1

I’ve seen Eduards but no pylon ? Can I ask what you did for pod/pylon … I’ve the same kit but going with a Hasegawa CJ kit and building to block 30 …
