Michael M Posted November 25, 2024 Posted November 25, 2024 "Another one bites the dust..." Not long ago I've read an article about Exercise Tiger and I thought: hmmmm I have one of them night visitors in my stash... Well here it is. I've added Artwox decks, Aber barrels and crew from ION Model, plus some scratch/digging in rejects box Hope You'll enjoy watching it as much as I've enjoyed building it. WIP is HERE Cheers Mick 37 2 11 4
robgizlu Posted November 25, 2024 Posted November 25, 2024 That is absolutely beautiful - Great weathering and that wake is phenomenal And I Love the sea colour One of my favourite models of the year Rob 1 1
Alan P Posted November 25, 2024 Posted November 25, 2024 That's a tiny marvel, amazing water effects and wake 🔥 Great work 💪 Alan 1
Ngantek Posted November 25, 2024 Posted November 25, 2024 Really incredible work as always. The highlighting on the sea is imperceptible but has so much effect. Really love the weathering, the bend of the flag halyard, the torpedo is a really cool touch. Love it. Really lucky to see this level of work at the small scale and to learn how it's done. Andy 1
Micha_Pol Posted November 25, 2024 Posted November 25, 2024 The word "masterpiece" should not be used lightly, less it lose all meaning; this, however, definitely is one. Breathtaking work, the boat, the water, the weathering, I love all of it. 1
Richard E Posted November 25, 2024 Posted November 25, 2024 Modelling of the very highest order; a very dynamic scene - you can almost hear the diesels running at full power. 1 1
Michael M Posted November 26, 2024 Author Posted November 26, 2024 Thanks for comments, it sure was fun. Next one will be a big experiment....we'll see if a successful one 2
Donald Posted November 27, 2024 Posted November 27, 2024 Now, there's a scene with plenty of action. Nicely crewed and weathered, too. 1
Toryu Posted November 29, 2024 Posted November 29, 2024 Fantastic build and presentation! The picture with the match actually shocked me - how can you achieve such detail? 1
Jeff.M Posted November 29, 2024 Posted November 29, 2024 Incredible work! Crew figures sometimes don’t work for me, but they were essential for this action scene. Wry, very well done! Jeff 1
Enzo the Magnificent Posted November 29, 2024 Posted November 29, 2024 I have to admit to being gobsmacked at the sheer quality of this model. Superb! 1
Foghorn Leghorn Posted November 30, 2024 Posted November 30, 2024 Wow, that sea is beautiful and so is the model, And the sense of speed you get from the diorama is brilliant 1 1
Michael M Posted November 30, 2024 Author Posted November 30, 2024 Thanks again, sense of speed was kind of essential here, in the end it is 'fast boat'. I'm happy that I managed to convey that impression. Cheers Mick 1
Adler Leon Posted November 30, 2024 Posted November 30, 2024 Terrific build and the seascape is brilliant. L 1

neilspen Posted December 5, 2024 Posted December 5, 2024 Fantastic work. I had to do a double take at the size. Truly brilliant 🏆 1
Keeff Posted December 6, 2024 Posted December 6, 2024 That is stunning! The effects with the water effects really give the sense of speed .... A good book about exercise Tiger, the recovery of the Sherman and how the American memorial came about at Slapton is 'The forgotten dead' .... I'd highly recommend it ..... Keith ☺️ 1
theskits62 Posted December 7, 2024 Posted December 7, 2024 What a spectacular result, i love everything about it, the detail, the subtle paint work/weathering and the dynamic of the torpedo leaving its tube. Magic stuff !
Faraway Posted December 7, 2024 Posted December 7, 2024 Lovely boat and excellent water, it actually looks wet. Well done. Jon
