"Another one bites the dust..."  

Not long ago I've read an article about Exercise Tiger and I thought: hmmmm I have one of them night visitors in my stash... Well here it is. I've added Artwox decks, Aber barrels and crew from ION Model, plus some scratch/digging in rejects box  Hope You'll enjoy watching it as much as I've enjoyed building it. Really incredible work as always. The highlighting on the sea is imperceptible but has so much effect. Really love the weathering, the bend of the flag halyard, the torpedo is a really cool touch. Love it. Really lucky to see this level of work at the small scale and to learn how it's done.

The word "masterpiece" should not be used lightly, less it lose all meaning; this, however, definitely is one. Breathtaking work, the boat, the water, the weathering, I love all of it.

Thanks again, sense of speed was kind of essential here, in the end it is 'fast boat'. I'm happy that I managed to convey that impression.

That is stunning!  The effects with the water effects really give the sense of speed .... 

 

A good book about exercise Tiger, the recovery of the Sherman and how the American memorial came about at Slapton is 'The forgotten dead' .... I'd highly recommend it .....
