Oh, but you have to. The mathematically inclined among us want to know whether it’s £300 or £400 next time…

No, no, no, no! It's not worth £300. You're supposed to argue, '300 for that?!? You must be mad!!!' to paraphrase 🙃

Two months ago I finally found one of my personal 'holy grail' kits on eBay which I'd been searching for for an extremely long time. Due to the Canada post strike happening pretty much as soon as I ordered it, I haven't seen it or heard any word about it. Well this morning it finally arrived, and I can't express how happy I am to finally have this kit in my stash.

Finally arrived from D ModelKits in Portugal today . I was getting a bit anxious as to its whereabouts , but , to be fair , the package is in very good condition . Maybe next time I won't order from abroad just before Christmas....

Great kit, Gary! Look forward to seeing that built.

Glad it finally got to you Gary - my latest order from Spotmodel apparently left Spain last Friday and hasn't been heard from since according to Royal Fail's tracking!

I ordered from Spotmodel a couple of weeks before Christmas and my stuff arrived a week later which surprised me 😲

I guess it's just a lottery when foreign post services and the Royal mail join forces 😅

I usually order from Spotmodels, but there was a black Friday deal on at D ModelKits and the Ascona and decals were cheaper than Spot and UK sellers . Free postage swung it , so I thought I'd try them . Unfortunately there was minimal information about the parcels whereabouts and e mails weren't responded too until after The Christmas Break . So I wasn't particularly impressed. But it's finally arrived safely.

Whether I would use them again is another matter ....

A bit of an impulse buy only as it was on offer, but it will fit in with my other Ford rally cars. Thanks Keith for the Hannant's sale section mention. I have a crazy idea to build it on jack stands as in service.

Having browsed @Windy37 WIP on this it may involve a bit of head scratching, if not banging it against a wall.

Also the following was a definite impulse buy from Spotmodel. I quite fancied the Malcolm Wilson decal scheme but it was out of stock so I plumped for this. In hindsight I don't know why and now I've seen the decal sheet I doubt it will be used. The kit decals look far more impressive albeit requiring serious planning. Not sure when this will hit the bench as the shelf of doom is calling.

I ordered a couple or three items from Spotmodels on 16th December and His Majesty's Royal Mail got it on the 20th. I received a letter demanding I pay for His Majesty's upkeep on the 8th Jan. Finally Santa brung the following;

I'm ashamed to say I mainly bought it so I could have two metal Bertone stickers for another poject and I won't be building this as an SVR either.

@mbdesignart  good idea to build the Fiesta on axle stands if only to show off the detail within those arches - its a shame to hide it all away. I remember it being a frustrating, but ultimately very rewarding kit to build. The D Mack colour scheme took some planning as well . I definitely wouldn't have wanted to attempt the box art Tanak scheme  - the decals are fearsome just to look at , nevermind apply . More like a body wrap !!

Guess that's what they basically are - very realistic to real life! :)

Oh dear, it appears to have happened again, mind you it came quicker from Hong Kong than the last one from Spain;

Single seater kits aren't my cup of tea really, unless it's F3000 from back in the day . It was a series I found really interesting at the time . So when this appeared on the Bay , I snaffled it up for a reasonable price .

I take it that's the Fujimi version as I don't recognise the boxing? If it is, and you ever get the urge to build another LP400 I can highly recommend the Aoshima version, probably a candidate for the best kit I've built to date (it would be either that or Tamiya's Gullwing Merc).

What, me, problem? No, the stash was down to 14 or so...

I presume you mean 14 or so A110s, not 14 in total? The latter would be dangerously low…

I reckon Jörgen's trying to start his own one-make series, there's nearly a full grid there!  :laugh:

Yes, you know the answer... Actually I thought 14 Tamiya A110 was dangerously low... 😎

Well, the last time I went into therapy I sent the therapist to emergency therapy in ten minutes... they don't want me anymore... 😬

It's a great start! But if you study Countach history thoroughly, I'm sure you can find a need for three or four more... 😁

That would be THE one-make series 👍 Actually I'm planning world domination, but I'm not telling anyone... 🤫
