malpaso Posted March 1 Posted March 1 Last week on the M3 I caught up with a Lancia (Beta?) HPE. Probably haven’t seen one for 30+ years and it still looks a good design. 8

They seem to have given up on plates, pretty much all US stuff around here has iffy ones. Matt 1

Matt Because of the not covered wheels and the improvised fuel tank the Police here in Germany would stop that Ford immediately and retire the operating permit.According to German law the wheels of a car cannot be wider than the body or have at least to be covered and of course every modification has to be approved by the TÜV and registered in the documents. Saluti Giampiero I must admit, I've always thought the rules in the UK were that wheels had to be covered. 3
ajwebb Posted March 1 Posted March 1 Interestingly, my state does not have a law regarding tire covers for small vehicles, the law only mentions heavy duty work vehicles. I've seen a few hot rods around here without fenders, so... 2
Farmer matt Posted March 1 Author Posted March 1 Another dodgy reg plate, left hook 1959 VW. And as for the wheels.....? Matt 7 2
SnøMotion Posted March 1 Posted March 1 Went to Oulton Park this morning for a bit of spectating. Photos from that later, but here are some shots from the car park. Martin 21 1

Keith From a distance, we just assumed the colour of the Alfasud was rust and we were trying to work out what was holding the rust together Seriously, though, it’s a perfect colour for it and the styling was way ahead of its time. My friend looked inside the Clubman and he said it had either 28000 or 8000 miles on it! It was absolutely mint and, I agree, great colour! 5

Spiny Posted March 1 Posted March 1 More dashcam quality shots I'm afraid, especially the first one. I missed a mid-90s Mustang coming the other way (or at least didn't get a good view on the camera), but did get this nice looking C3 'Vette parked at the side of the road. And this made me realise how all of a sudden they (and the Imprezas of a similar vintage) seem to have just disappeared off the roads - it's a few months since I last saw an Evo on the road 9

Like the Honda next to it .... Gary 3 1

Farmer matt Posted March 2 Author Posted March 2 Another day, another LHD Bug with wonky wheels. This one from 1969 and presumably the driver is well wrapped up. Sunny it may be but it is barely above freezing here now. Matt 6 2

It looked like it was 2:1 scale. It looked huge! EDIT: If I recall correctly, under the skin it's an MX-5 or something like that, and gets its dimensions from that donor car Edited March 2 by kiseca 3

ajwebb Posted March 2 Posted March 2 (edited) New facelifted Tesla followed by old Tesla with matching colors. I have to say I like the facelifted headlights much more than the previous version. And two RHD (probably JDM) vans sitting in a dealership lot, right one is a Hiace of some sort, unsure of what the left one is, except it is a diesel. Edit: I hope the future owners of those vans don't have registration problems... Edited March 2 by ajwebb 1 1
keefr22 Posted March 2 Posted March 2 I think if I was unfortunate enough to have to own a facelifted Tesla I would paint a sharksmouth on that pig ugly front end....!! 🤣 Keith 7 1
