Popular Post GTZIM Posted November 22, 2024 Popular Post Posted November 22, 2024 Just completed this Eduard F-104C StarFighter “The Zipper” for a Vietnam group build on Instagram. This kit was a huge change of pace for me as I usually build WW2 prop aircraft. Definitely got me interested in doing another jet soon! Aftermarket items used: Quinta Studio Interior 3D decal set Quinta Studio 3D Ejection Set decal set Eduard Brassin Exhaust Nozzle QuickBoost F.O.D Eduard "Remove Before Flight" 3D decal set Included goodies in the kit: Eduard Brassin Wheels Eduard Brassin Ejection seat Eduard Detail set This kit uses the sprues from the Kinetic set. The plastic was overall good minus a few bad injection marks that had to be fixed. Gallery: One mistake I made was my choice in the tail, underwing, and front nozzle color. I had originally thought it should have been more grey and less brown than what I had went with. I was pretty bummed out until I found a few images online of F-104C with very similar looking color to mine. Since I found references that look like what I did, I am much happier now. Hope you like it! 81 5 14 6
neilspen Posted November 22, 2024 Posted November 22, 2024 It is superb. The variation in the colours of the finish is well done.
Retired Bob Posted November 22, 2024 Posted November 22, 2024 Lovely zipper I have a couple of these Eduard kits to build.
scautomoton Posted November 22, 2024 Posted November 22, 2024 Phenomenal NMF! This truly looks like a miniature rather than a model.
Charles68 Posted November 22, 2024 Posted November 22, 2024 If this is your first jet in a while, I'm looking forward to seeing more. We'll done! NMF finish is great.
Rumblestripe Posted November 23, 2024 Posted November 23, 2024 Not just a wonderful model, but also beautifully lit and photographed. A triumph.

exdraken Posted November 25, 2024 Posted November 25, 2024 Very nice I am never sure on weathered live missiles but then in high tempo ops, why not! 1

Couldn’t easily get the black pigment powder out of some of the tight spots without potentially breaking it thank you! 1

georgeusa Posted November 27, 2024 Posted November 27, 2024 Great looking 104. I like the look of it buttoned up rather than all the panels open. It shows its sleek design. Thanks for sharing. 1
Lightningboy2000 Posted December 6, 2024 Posted December 6, 2024 Stunning build, and appreciate the excellent photography to show it off. Exceptional work. I would like to know what paints & whatever weathering you used? Martin 1
