This is the Nunu Porsche 911 RSR with decals from SK Decals and paint from Splash Paints. It’s a fun kit. It’s a curbside, so it’s relatively simple. The only negatives for me were the rear fender duct screens and the wheels/tires.

The screens and the ducts are pretty fiddly and I never did get them to look halfway decent. Fortunately, Fat Frog (via HobbySearch) sells some 3D printed parts that drop right in. The screens are even finer than the kit screen material.

Like their Audi R8 GT3, BMW M6 GT3, and BMW M8 GTE I’ve built, this kit has tapered wheels and tires. I assume the intent was for the wheel to spread the tire out so it would be tire shaped, but it still ends up with the outer sides of the tires being larger than the inner sides. I just sanded the daylights out of mine, but aftermarket items are available from SpotModel.

The SK decals are great, as usual.

Looks good and I prefer this livery over the Pink Pig.    I'm considering getting this kit too.

This looks very good, but seeing the 'Pig Pig' up close at Le Mans would prefer that livery!

Thanks, everyone! I've been kind of "meh" about the retro liveries the factory cars used, but I guess the '60s Wynn's purple does end up looking pretty groovy. 😉  I might build another one if someone releases some decals for a 2023 car, like Rexy, the Iron Dames car, or the black and yellow Manthey car.

I've got to admit that this wasn't a kit which tempted me, but seeing how yours has come out I'm finding I am sorely tempted by the kit now, even though I would prefer the pink pig version.

Even if you're not happy with the purple, I think the whole thing has come out really well, especially given the number of decals on it.

And as for the wheels, while it sounds odd at first, could the reason for the tapered tyres be due to the camber that these cars run and Nunu's attempt at trying to get the tyres sit flat with that camber in place?

Excellent build, still waiting on my pre-order here in UK!

Been looking at the SK decals but really hoping they do a Dempsey Proton set

Thanks for the kind words, everyone!

@Spiny, I think you’re right about the camber. All of the Nunu cars I’ve built are like this.

@cjhm, LB Production has decals for the Dempsey car. I’ve never used their decals before but they are available at SpotModel.

@Davi, last week I made the mistake of clicking on the link in your signature for your Takata Dome NSX. Now one is en route to my house.😄

Outstanding build! Nunu is doing exciting releases one after another.

Thanks! Now if only they'd release a Huracan GT3 or NSX GT3!
