vppelt68 Posted November 13, 2024 Posted November 13, 2024 After a several year break, a proposal for the 4th edition of one quite popular theme group build will be posted early next year... Good for planes, tanks, vehicles, figures and vessels. Stay tuned V-P EDIT: Updated 24/2/25 to become a proper opening post. I hereby propose the fourth group build of the Mediterranean Theater of Operations in World War 2, or to put it shortly: WW2 MTO GB IV The first one was ran by me and Jon @thepureness in 2016 when we merged our MTO and North Africa proposals. I ran the second one alone only two years later in 2018, due to popular request, and then Patrice @TEMPESTMK5 ran again the third in 2020. Since then I raised once or twice a proposal with some kind of Mediterranean theme (Malta and Pedestal convoy) but they didn't even make it to the Bunfight. Maybe in 2026 the time is right for a proper MTO GB again? The eligibility was simply this: "Anything that was used in or supporting operations of war from 1.9.1939 to 8.5.1945 below the Alps and above the equator, from the Gibraltar to Iraq, sea, air or land, all scales and materials." me franky boy TEMPESTMK5 Corsairfoxfouruncle Richard Humm Marklo 2996 Victor Rafwaffe JOCKNEY JWM ArnoldAmbrose 81-er modelling minion PeterB psdavidson Mjwomack Les Wells ... 2

vppelt68 Posted November 13, 2024 Author Posted November 13, 2024 Nope, this is not a guessing game. It might be or then on the other hand, not. I learned this from the Rumourmonger 1
psdavidson Posted December 25, 2024 Posted December 25, 2024 Will this be a new year message or do we all have to wait until after the Airfix range announcement on the 6th (or whenever it will take place) 1

I have had a lot of fun reading all the new group builds proposed since the latest Bunfight, thinking there's already enough of them so maybe I should take the old Irish Eurovision approach - "What's Another Year" - and see what happens among the proposals before we reach next November I'm quite sure the Airfix range announcements, whatever they will be, would have very little effect on this GB "idea". Merry Christmas and a happy new year! Remember, comes from 🇫🇮 2

vppelt68 Posted December 29, 2024 Author Posted December 29, 2024 Not a group build thing, actually, but I thought this chat will sink nicely in this thread Tonight I did a real superhero thing: sorted my four largish boxes of spare and extra parts left over during the 10+ years I've been back in the hobby, and bagged them according to their prototype 2 1
vppelt68 Posted January 3 Author Posted January 3 Let me finally get the 😼 out of the 💰: I hereby propose the fourth, for the tenth anniversary of, group build of the Mediterranean Theater of Operations in World War 2, or to put it shortly: WW2 MTO GB IV The first one was ran by me and Jon @thepureness in 2016 when we merged our MTO and North Africa proposals. I ran the second one alone only two years later in 2018, due to popular request, and then Patrice @TEMPESTMK5 ran again the third in 2020. Would Jon and Patrice care to join hosting this one with me, again? The previous MTO group builds have been popular and great fun, which I believe the fourth one shall be too V-P 3
TEMPESTMK5 Posted January 3 Posted January 3 Good evening VP Very good idea add my name please Best regards Patrice 1
