Hi

I'm trying to identify the flat bed van/small American truck.  The picture is a still from a film shot in 1959.

Thanks

A little bit hard to identifiy...but I guess it's a Chevy...a 3100 upwards from the 50'

But i'm don't know if my advice is right....😇

If I'm right you can look for the AMT kit...

That's a Mercury capsule? Google tells me the tare weight was 2500 lbs.

I took a quick look, and that's probably a good guess.  Ford didn't have split windshield.

Here's an article with some info on the 3100 series...

Just Googling around - it seems that the Mercury capsule was initially transported on the back of a flatbed, with a mattress for padding.

The truck would appear to be one of the Advance Design series (1947-53), in medium duty form; note the dual rear wheels. The specifics I leave to the Chevy truck cognisti.

It's a '48 '47-'53 Chevy 4400, 161" wheelbase.  The cab was the same as on the 3100 series pickups, but the front wheel openings were much larger to accommodate the 20" wheels.

Brilliant, thanks so much.  There is 3d print file for a 4400 too 😁

That's possibly FDM printing, doing it with liquid resin should be a lot smoother.  I have downloaded a few from Cults3D and they print fine, especially for free or as little as 50p.  You gets what you pays for though.

Yikes, that's rough!  😵‍💫

Yep, but looks like it's been printed on an FDM printer on low res.  I have an Elegoo Mars2 resin printer.
