TheyJammedKenny! Posted November 2, 2024 Posted November 2, 2024 Such a tease! They won't let us look inside.
Adam Poultney Posted November 4, 2024 Posted November 4, 2024 I'm still waiting for the Tu144 that was supposedly coming this year.... 1

Even though I've got the ICM ones (unbuilt 😆), I too am after this one. Apparently delayed until 2025 in any case, albeit that's only a few weeks away!
Exam89 Posted November 4, 2024 Posted November 4, 2024 The aviation part of the catalog Dear friends, congratulations on National Unity Day! This festive Monday, according to tradition, we will begin the story about our plans for 2025 with aviation and space topics! The main aviation novelty of this year is the Russian Su-30SM fighter in 1/48 scale! There is also a replenishment in the helicopter theme! The 1/48 model of the Soviet Mi-171 helicopter, a development of the previously released Mi-8 model. The aviation of the Great Patriotic War will be replenished with another model of the Yakovlev fighter. This time it's a late version of the Yak-7 in 1/48! The line of the citizen will receive a new model of the Airbus A-330-200 in 1/144. And our second rocket model will be the famous Vostok rocket launcher, which put the first cosmonaut Yuri Alekseevich Gagarin into orbit! The release of the Tu-144 B 1/144 model of the Soviet airliner is postponed to the first half of 2025. The rest of the aviation catalog is in the application. The next piece of news is on Friday! https://vk.com/zvezdamodels?w=wall-29859496_2851458 https://vk.com/doc6108131_681976737?hash=WyUQTH9hzd12I7ICnoz6HEwduQ6z9LDLHOBAM7RZ3A0&dl=QAKtywlfDdYvoDTzsac8vf1JTQEtzjZPG6xXx463Jps 1 1

MarkoZG Posted November 4, 2024 Posted November 4, 2024 Strangely, no new 1/72nd scale aircraft. The most neglected Soviet WW2 era types in this scale are La-7 and Il-4. La-7 from Eduard is probably their worst kit in this scale, while for Il-4 it is hard to tell which one is worse, the old Zvezda or VEB. 1
TheyJammedKenny! Posted November 4, 2024 Posted November 4, 2024 Hmmm. It's still an amazing lineup. Of course, there are some things I would prefer to see, but I'll leave them to others. Zvezda continues to churn out new stuff. 2
LN-KEH Posted November 5, 2024 Posted November 5, 2024 Is the F-35 on page 15 the old Italaeri kit with the taping represented by 2mm thick raised paths?

ABeck Posted February 7 Posted February 7 Look low right: Zvezda changed its symbol, from the new catalogue (also handed out at the Nuremberg Fair). Seemingly now an Austro-Russo company. I think Eddie should no longer boykott!
John Thompson Posted February 7 Posted February 7 I seem to recall reading, a couple of years ago, that Zvezda kits were coming to western shops via a distributor in Austria. Perhaps this is a sign of formalizing that connection, or of making it more public. John
TheyJammedKenny! Posted February 8 Posted February 8 There was a rumor Zvezda itself was going to relocate to Austria, not just set up a distributorship there. One of my Russian friends, who has some loose ties to Zvezda, told me this was unlikely, given the hefty duties the company would need to pay the Russian government, together with the awkward logistics of moving all the tooling. It's interesting they've chosen a slightly different branding style. Who knows? They are a big brand in Russia, and produce all kinds of toys unique to the Russian market.
Overflow Posted February 8 Posted February 8 Zvezda is partially owned by Hobby Pro of Graz, Austria, and given recent events ( downturn in sales of Soviet/ Russian subjects) and consecutive price hikes, gone from hero to not a zero, but no so favourable position. They ( with Academy) had the best quality/ price ratio products, but the pricing has gone through the roof, they have to do something to survive, losing Russian star maybe just the tip of the iceberg. 1 1
Dennis_C Posted February 8 Posted February 8 (edited) Russian language catalogue has a bit different logo style So looks like a change for western markets only. Also many Russian companies went through business split into two legally independent structures for domestic and international markets leading to changed branding too. Possibly Zvezda is now getting to this point too. Edited February 8 by Dennis_C 2
Exam89 Posted February 8 Posted February 8 No need to invent conspiracy theories. The logo change is related to the change of ownership in Russia and the re-registration of the trademark. And since, according to the current laws of the Russian Federation, the use of the tricolor for non-governmental companies is complicated, it has also disappeared from the new logo. Yes, the Zvezda remains in Russia. 1 2
