Blenheim Fighters

Osprey's "Blenheim Squadrons of WW2" mentions a Fighter Command plan to replace the turret with twin Brownings on a rail mount surrounded by a plywood fairing with a small windscreen, with 100 conversion sets being ordered. Were these ever fitted to operational aircraft please?

Blenheim nightfighters did have the turret removed and were supposed to have the guns mounted in the entrance hatch but there was no evidence that this happened, but as stowed on the ground you would not see it anyway.
