Masts painted and I've added a bit of rigging, thought it would be easier now than after they were on the ship.

Hi Jon

Looking good, I think that may be the way to go, Iplan to try it this way next time, especially after the trauma I have gone through with the Dreadnought rigging. I have a boom to add to the foremast and it’s going to be a b******r trying to fit it now🤪

Not sure what this platform is for, but at the narrow end there will be a compass binnacle.

But it does have a slightly unfortunate shape. :giggle:

Guns, aft railings and davits for yet MORE boats.

I mean, seriously, how many does one ship need ??????

G'day Jon, I guess they usually anchor off a port rather than berth, and without having to rely on the port's boats to get the crew ashore it's a case of BYO boats. Particularly in foreign ports. But admittedly, she does seem to have quite a few.

Regards, Jeff.

Is this too obvious —- no life raft provision (as we see on later ships).

Or Helo pad on the quarterdeck. 😁       I'll get my coat. 🙂

Jon a lot of boats for re-supply duties these ships had a deep draft and some harbours where too small and shallow when the ship needed supplies you got to get the rum on-board somehow.  :tasty:

And what I believe are where anti-torpedo nets are stored.

I had painted these outriggers before fixing here, but when removing them from the sprue the paint is removed, and it'll be a lot easier touch up the paint with them in situ.

Well, that's done then.

It was sort of fun and it went together quite well, although it had its moments of major fiddle.

Thanks to you all for following along, you are always welcome.

It wasn't my favourite build and it has confirmed in my own mind, that sometimes anything bigger than a destroyer can get a bit tedious.

Oh yeah, and I definitely chickened out from making cage aerials those belong, most certainly, to a bigger scale.

G'day Jon, congrats on another completion. I've checked out the RFI, but I'll have a more thorough look tomorrow. It's nearly midnight here. Regards, Jeff.
