Just a small one,I bought this 1/43 Provence Moulage resin kit from from our nice friend here, Klubman 01. Just finished,so I thought I should show and tell, decals were the most time consuming part I suppose. I was going to show my older model of the winning car,no.2. But it looks quite rough in comparison though I suppose that is because I built it in 1989! I learnt for instance to trim the edges of decals that go onto 1/43 windscreens, the excess film will show……

Anyway, hope you like, and thanks to Trevor.  Chris.

Nice!

1/43 - it still amazes me how you all do it in such a small scale and look do good.

Thanks Trevor and everyone for liking a Silk Cut car! The kit could have been released in 1988 at the earliest,so the kit decals could be 35 years old and they still behaved like new. I agree,it’s a classic colour scheme, Chris.

I built the same kit many years ago - and made a complete dog's dinner of the decals around the nose. Tried to rectify the situation by hand painting. And made everything 10 times worse....!!

I wish my effort had been even half as good as that little beauty you built, really lovely model....!!

It’s just as well I quite like decalling and that they were Cartograf decals that mostly behaved themselves!
Thanks,Chris.

Group C race cars were just a bit special weren't they ?

You've really done a fantastic job all round 👍

I'm fortunate to own an Exoto 1\18 diecast because I was too

scared to build the Tamiya kit.

Superb stuff, what's next on your build schedule, more group C?

Cheers! I went to Le Mans for the 1st.time in 1987,and was allowed to go every other year, so I didn’t go in 1988 and 1990 when Jaguar won! Group C was very excellent I agree, with the best coIour schemes too. I think I should next finish the two Arrows GP cars that are half done. Both Arrows A2 from 1979, one in 1/43 is a Provence Moulage resin kit and a companion resin kit in 1/24. Chris.
