Macsporran Posted October 30, 2024 Posted October 30, 2024 Haven't made a Wingnuts kit for a while and it is so nice to get back to those amazingly close tolerances and micro-detailing. This one was started as part of a group build over on the ww1aircraft forum as a tribute to the late Dave Wilson who maintained the forum in recent years and was a knowledgeable and generous friend to so many world-wide. The Roland is a lovely kit which makes into a colourful addition to the shelf. It's just a shame that it is now a very rare kit and commands high prices in the collector's market. I believe in building them though, so here it is. 10
e8n2 Posted October 31, 2024 Posted October 31, 2024 I built that kit about a year and a half ago as the one used for camouflage testing by the U.S. Army. All in all a nice build without too much trouble, except for the rigging. Still a novice at it. Later, Dave 1
bertielissie Posted December 7, 2024 Posted December 7, 2024 Great to see your wonderful, colourful build. Yes, those incredibly tight tolerances take some getting used to-- at least for me! It's a pity that the now rare WingNuts are so expensive. I'd love to see more built rather than end up in piles of "collectibles".
