Greg B Posted October 29, 2024 Posted October 29, 2024 I had a really good couple of days down at Temora for the first Warbirds Downunder in I believe 6 years. These are some from Saturday. It started off a bit wet and overcast but cleared up nicely and had the added bonus of keeping the heat haze down. A good show to go to, not a huge selection but the distances here prevent massive meets like Duxford, crowds aren't large, parking is easy. The only downside is that past 1300 the sun is starting to backlight everything. 21 4
Basilisk Posted October 30, 2024 Posted October 30, 2024 Some great shots! I especially like the take-off pictures. Cheers, Peter 1
Zephyr Posted October 30, 2024 Posted October 30, 2024 Lovely photos, thanks for posting. I've seen a few of those aircraft flying and a friend has flown the Winjeel. Not quite Duxford but where else can you see a Hudson fly, eh...? 1
spitfire Posted October 30, 2024 Posted October 30, 2024 Great photos, thnk you for taking the time to post them. Cheers Dennis 1

Greg B Posted November 5, 2024 Author Posted November 5, 2024 Yep, far fewer people in there, a marquee with tables and charging points and a small platform seating area with far more seats then people. Pretty low drag, will do it again as you could either get a raised seat whenever or wander the 10m to the edge of the pan where there was plenty of room. 1
CH-53D Posted November 6, 2024 Posted November 6, 2024 Lovely pictures, thanks for sharing. The VT-27 T-28 was particularly nice to see. In my younger days in Corpus Christi (1970s), those were flying around daily, along with the TS-2As. The current T-6s and T-44s are nice to see buzzing around, but just don't have the same panache as the radial engined planes.
