Your weathering looks just right. This was one of the first kits I built, and got me hooked in the hobby. I did make the silly choice of building the version with the red lightning bolt coming from the nose, which was a bit of a challenge for a beginner model combined with the flimsy decals that came with my kit. Where did you find the two figures? I know they are not part of the Trumpeter set. I just built a Korean War F-80C and a F4U-4 and need little men to man them

Take some photos from scale eye level with a realistic background and nobody would tell it's a model.

The type is not shown in the title.

Trumpeter did a mix of both types. Front part as -5, Back part as -2.

As shown in Tailspin topic, the boarding steps are very close to the air intake on the -2.

In the case of a -5, a wing fence is also missing.
