1/48 F9F Panther

Hi all,

This was a long, long, long built F9F in 1:48 from Trumpeter. But, finally, I've made it.

 

 

And little DIO (comme d'habitude)

An absolute gem and a real success.

I love it. It is not easy to give life to an overall dark blue model but you perfectly managed to do it.

There is a lot to love here. The pose grabs the eye first. But then the finish that looks like actual painted aluminum, the flashes of red flaps, and the lifelike face and hand gesture of the pilot. Finally the decking is just fantastic, and a wonderful color contrast to the dark blue.

Beautiful work. What stands out to me is the fact Trumpeter appears to have gotten the canopy framing right where Revell/Monogram didn't at least on the front end.
