Any connection with Red Bull or Reno?

Apologies, I’ve not been keeping an eye on this. Tempus fugit, eh? Not Red Bull, or Reno, though the latter is on the right continent…

It is not only, but also, the Thompson, and tangentially connected to the Geebee. Patched up post-prang, the plane was recycled under another name to have another go two years later...

(There's another clue in my previous answer, but the clock is ticking...)

The Hawks Miller M1 featured a retractable cockpit and canopy and was kinda like an extended GeeBee. Am I on the right track...?

It was named "Time Flies", that ties with the "Tempus Fugit" clue above, so I bet you're right.

Close enough. I was actually looking for the sponsor, Gruen Watches (the “watcher”), but I’ll admit the question could have been clearer ;-P. The designer, Pete Miller, also designed the Gee Bee racers. The aircraft crashed in practice for the 1936 races and according to my sources was rebuilt to compete in the 1938 series. It was finally destroyed after an aerobatic accident, from which the pilot escaped safely by parachute.

Thank you Mr Bacon 😀

It was a very good poser; on a par with Mr Silvestri's brain frying questions...! I'm at work right now so my effort to fox your brains will follow later.

Regards

Robert 🙂

Is it one of the steam locomotives that had aircraft related names from the southern railways Battle of Britain class?

Oooh, good guess but it's not the one...! Think about what powers steam locomotives and where they get it from. 🙂
