Saluti Giampiero Painted on his Macchi 202 Folgore (one of Italy's better looking fighter aircraft in my opinion but not quite as elegant as the 205...)
Robert Shedd Posted January 25 Posted January 25 Ok, here we go... What's the link between 105 x 3 + 51 and a well known cartoon character?
GiampieroSilvestri Posted January 25 Posted January 25 Is 51 the P-51 Mustang or the Heinkel He 51? Saluti Giampiero

GiampieroSilvestri Posted January 27 Posted January 27 So it has to do with Nellis airfield.Does it have a direct link with Bugs Bunny or another figure from Looney tunes? Saluti Giampiero
Paul821 Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Did F105's take part in any Red Flag type operations out of Nellis, when the RAF were involved? At the moment I can find no evidence that this event might lead to the answer to the current question.
GiampieroSilvestri Posted January 27 Posted January 27 (edited) On the 8th of October 1963 a RAF exchange pilot with the nickname Bugs Bunny landed with an F-105 at Nellis and saw the Loockheed A-12? Saluti Giampiero Edited January 27 by GiampieroSilvestri

Saluti Giampiero I knew the final tip would give the game away! RAF exchange pilot Anthony "Bugs" Bendell was leading a flight of three F105 Thunderchiefs and was forced to land at Groom Lake (Area 51) after suffering technical difficulties. As he prepared to land he got an unintentional glimpse of the Blackbird which was parked close by. Needless to say Bug's arrival at Area 51 was not popular...! Over to you Senor Silvestri for the next one... 😃

GiampieroSilvestri Posted January 28 Posted January 28 Another tip.It accellerates from 33 to 75,90 and reaches 164. Saluti Giampiero
GiampieroSilvestri Posted January 29 Posted January 29 (edited) Another tip. When accellerating from 33 to75,90 and not to forget 145,146 and 147 you get to 156 and 159 before reaching 164 and 166 to get to the town. Saluti Giampiero Edited January 29 by GiampieroSilvestri
