Drakendk Posted October 26, 2024 Posted October 26, 2024 Hello modellers. I found a photo of a battle worn Provost in a book about the Omani Air Force, calles Eagles. I had an old Matchbox kit in my stash and decided to give it a go. I did a little scratch building in the cockpit area and rescribed the panel lines. Painting with Hataka acrylics and weathered wilth oils and pigments. Here you go 🙂 44 3

MikeC Posted October 27, 2024 Posted October 27, 2024 Nice model of an unusual subject Fun fact: for the delivery flights from the UK, RAF roundels were applied to the camouflage scheme. It is this scheme that the Provost at the Shuttleworth Collection flies in. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=NI1FFg7Lxp4 1
Dennis_C Posted October 27, 2024 Posted October 27, 2024 Very nice model! Paint fade effect is super realistic. Did you get decals from an aftermarket sheet? 1

Thanks @Dennis_C The decals are from the kit. It was quite the challenge because the protecting paper stuck to the decals. I applied the decals and sanded the protecting paper of. But in the end it contributed to the worn look. 1
