scautomoton
Hello all, I've completed design and first build of this prime example of peak 1950's interceptor design. Pointy, shiny, many engines, big missiles! RFI of my build here: Kits are available for £50 + £5 p&p. For that you'll get a 1/72 3d resin printed airframe, with poseable flaps, tail planes and rudders, vacuform canopies (plus spares), Red Hebe missiles or tip tanks, and an optional fitment belly tank. An assembly diagram will also be included, but its all relatively self explanatory. I've deliberately omitted offering decals since this is a WhatIf and I felt people would have their own ideas of squadrons, colour schemes etc. (I went with Tigers because a) it looks cool as, and b) I have oodles of Lightning decals kicking about! Some very careful print support cleanup will be required, as well as surface prep since I prioritized dimensional accuracy for assembly (no one wants a wonky model). Alternatively, for £15 I can provide the print scenes (I use Anycubic Photon, but I think you can export a universal format) which would be ready to go, and instructions/advice for assembly. PM if interested. 7

Head in the clouds.
That looks superb, are you considering any other in this genre, the Saro P187 for instance? These paper projects came out with some very interesting designs and as your AW169 amply demonstrates they make large imposing models.

I think to do the smaller Fairey submission next. A lot of the others have been done by Lost Cosmonauts on the Whatif forum, but he's having a bit of a crisis of the faith regarding the hobby, and I'm hoping he finds his mojo again so I can buy his prints rather than put thousands of hours into them! If, however, that doesn't happen then I'll whittle my way through them over time. I've actually started the Shorts PD.17 lifting platform, but as a mix of 3d print and scratchbuilding. Once I've finished my TSR.2 GR.1 they will look great together.

At the moment it's still early stages of CAD, once I'm in a position to start thinking of printing and cutting styrene I'll start a WIP
