FAA Defiant Target Tugs

Were these generally finished in the TSS or TLS please?

I would think UK based FAA target tugs were usually TLS uppers and TT yellow under surfaces with black stripes as they didn't operate in the marine environment. This would have been in compliance with the AMOs of the time. Some ex FAA front line types like Skua/Roc may have initially retained their TSS uppers, but those delivered directly to second line TT units probably had TLS uppers from the start.  Some RAF TTs appear to have received the later DFS uppers, but no suggestion that occurred in the FAA e.g. 1944 Martinet TT.I  771NAS still in TLS uppers.
