plasticmasher Posted October 1 Posted October 1 Hi all hope this is acceptable to post my cry for help .... Did I imagine someone here posted a twin cockpit scratch conversion of Airfix's venerable Angel Interceptor?...or have I seen it in RfI/WiP ..... or elsewhere? Ed 1
Noel Smith Posted October 1 Posted October 1 No. But I did see an Angels Interceptor a number of years ago done in RAF markings and fully loaded with missiles and extra fuel tanks at Telford. It was placed amongst other RAF fighter models on the table by its builder as a bit of humour and was interesting to see the number of people doing a double take on it as I did at the time. 2
Pete in Lincs Posted October 1 Posted October 1 Ed, It sounds interesting. If you're going to build one, it would probably be better off in the Sci Fi section. If anyone knows of an existing two seater, my money is on @Kallisti 1
TEXANTOMCAT Posted October 2 Posted October 2 A mate used an old Hobbycraft arrow and added an Angel Interceptor on top as a Mistel. And I’ve seen one painted in Red Arrows colours but never a two seater before! 1
IanC Posted October 2 Posted October 2 Obviously this is not the place to ask who your favourite Angel was. No, that would be completely inappropriate. Rhapsody.. 4
Kallisti Posted October 3 Posted October 3 Yes I think that is what the original poster was remembering, it was something kit-bashed by @whitestar12chris 1
Noel Smith Posted October 3 Posted October 3 Jaclyn Smith was my favourite Angel from the very original line up Ian. At the time, lads of a certain age all seemed to have a Farrah Fawcett poster on the wall of their bedrooms. Kate Jackson was the other Angel in the original trio, and I read somewhere that Charlie's Angels was her original idea. 1
Riksbar Posted October 3 Posted October 3 I can’t help feeling that had the British designed a two-seat Angel Interceptor they would have made it side-by-side. 1
hairystick Posted October 4 Posted October 4 9 hours ago, Riksbar said: I can’t help feeling that had the British designed a two-seat Angel Interceptor they would have made it side-by-side. ... and hideously under powered... 2
