My last attempt was a bit of a disaster - the aluminium paint dit not perform well, making a lot of sanding and paint removal necessary

@Hook I sympathise, I also experienced aluminium disaster requiring complete rubdown and start over. But it worked out in the end. You Are Not Alone!

I have high hopes for the weekend.

... which were dashed by the ghastly weather. A cold drizzle and water based paint do not mix.

So I must admit defeat this round. Ever since metallic finish #1 went awry, either I was swamped with work, the weather was appaling, or, mostly both. Unless a late Christmas weather miracle will arrive in week 2 of next year I will not be able to make even the extended deadline.

I'll probably KUTA her in the spring.

Good morning André

I am very sorry to read that but I would like to remind you that as usual you can still finish your build after the dead line  , the dead line is only for the Gallery ...

Best regards

Patrice

Ah!, le smelle suite du victoire

Today the weather was such as to allow me to have an airbrush sesssion, I managed to get a very decent result with the Fickle Mistress that is metallic paint!

Some Vallejo Air Duraluminium gently applied with the ol' H&S, I'm actually pleased as punch with the result:

Bonus Airfix Super Mystère, since I had a good thing going metallicwise:

Some work done over the weekend - I've addded some panel tone variations with metallic pigments:

Resulting in this:

Most major decalling done - I've still have to add some smaller markings, but she's really coming alive with those colourful bits methinks:
