G'day, at my age this is no longer a joke - it's a way of life. Oh well  .   .   .   (Has been for quite a while, come to think of it).

I know exactly what you mean.  Sometimes I hear a song on the radio which I haven't heard for decades, yet I know all the words.  But I can never remember where I put my car keys...  :fraidnot:

As I'm getting older. I've begun thinking about the people I've lost along the way.

It kinda make me think to myself

that maybe a career as a tour guide wasn't for me.

I always feel old when I walk into a store and hear an old song playing on their sound system, and I remember hearing it when it was first released! 👴

If corn oil is made from corn, and peanut oil is made from peanuts, what's baby oil made from? 😱

Never mind that what's cock-alekie soup made from ? :surprised:

Little known fact, before the crowbar was invented.
Crows just drank from home.

If you're listening to it on the car radio the keys are most likely in the ignition ;)

Being glib is only cool and stylish when I do it...  :fraidnot:

On a serious note (yeah, shock, horror 🙂) I always place them on a coin tray so I know where to find them. (Trying to remember what they're for is a different matter. )

And for those that are wondering, coins are those round (usually) metal things that used to be legal tender, before plastic cards and mobile phones took over our whole lives.

Regards, Jeff.

I have some of them lying around. Do they still work?

Oh I never claimed to be anything, least of all cool. I have, however, been called another four letter word beginning with C but can't remember what it was now... :hmmm:

Yes but not so well as they used to. You get significantly less in return when trying to swap them for stuff these days.

If your house is cold, just stand in the corner. It’s always 90 degrees there.

They do in the USA. For now, at least.

I believe that they still do, if you can find a machine that actually accepts them. 😠

What do you give a man who has everything?
Penicillin

I see we are going back in time for some of the jokes, I can remember seeing that one in a rag mag in about 1972, and I think it was old then.

Today a man knocked on my door and asked for a small donation towards the local swimming pool.

I gave him a glass of water.

I know, but the made up names appeal to my childish sense of humour. 😋

Plus, they've been bandied about so much some think they're real (like swallowing spiders while sleeping, and BM members hanging out together in hot tubs).

Is this mandatory?  The swallowing spiders while sleeping is fine, BM members hanging out together in the hot tub screams wrong on so many levels....

The hot tub is not mandatory, but wearing budgie smugglers whilst voting in the bunfight is.

Just as well this is an online forum, and we don't have to go to a polling station.
