Alex1978 Posted September 22, 2024 Posted September 22, 2024 (edited) Another 757 from my production line. Earlier this year,I posted the Caledonian 757 here on BM. Some more Zvezda 757s have been finished,I have not had the time yet to photograph them but they will be posted here as well shortly. LTS was the subsidiary of LTU,based in Munich-Riem in the early 80s. The first livery of it was the dark and light blue as showed here.Later on the livery was kept but the colour changed to red as with the LTU aircrafts and the name changed to LTU SÜD. The blue livery carried on with the Spanish subsidiary of LTU,named LTE,they later changed to the red livery as well. The Zvezda 757 kit is absolutely lovely and the fit is near perfect. I only changed the kits RR engines to early RR 235 engines. These are again from DRUZ and are simply gorgeous The window/door arrangement needs to be changed too as LTS used a different arrangement than what the kit provides. If one wishes to have open windows instead of decals, simply count 13 windows from back to forth and close the following 4.The smaller service doors will be placed in the place of the last 2 of the 4 closed up windows. The rest is identical to the other versions. . The decal set comes fgom AHS.The dark blue stripe is included there, but its just a straight piece,no windows or cockpit cutouts. So I opted to paint everything and use the titles and letters only from the set. All additional details come from the Zvezda decal set. An interesting side note:The registration worn by this 757 "D-AMUR" was later passed on to a LTU SÜD Boeing 767-300ER... Cheers, Alex Edited September 22, 2024 by Alex1978 19 1
Skodadriver Posted September 22, 2024 Posted September 22, 2024 That is just stunning Alex! By a long way my favourite of your recent posts. I saw the real aircraft a couple of times and I still think it's one of the most attractive liveries carried by the Boeing 757. Thanks for sharing, yet again! Dave G 1

The 757 really looks good in that livery. i never saw the blue one in the flesh, but the later red ones when they invaded our local airport during the summer hollidays😉 10 hours ago, Romeo Alpha Yankee said: Nice job Alex, you have been busy lately! 🏆 Thank you very much. Gimme Shelter Posted September 25, 2024 Posted September 25, 2024 That's a nice livery for a 757 - and not one I am familiar with. A very nice Dolphin indeed. It's really easy to glance at pictures of liveries like these and totally overlook the hard work that goes into precise masking to retain straight lines that need to follow lumps and bumps or contours - by which I mean very well done to you on that tight line just above and crossing the top of the upper wing root. Very smart work there indeed. 1

Very smart work there indeed. Thank you very much. As simple as the livery looks,it was not that easy to get it that sraight and leveled on both sides. Paintjobs like these, always make me nervous as you see only after the removal of all masking tape if you have masked correctly😉 1
Eric B. Posted September 26, 2024 Posted September 26, 2024 Hi, Beautiful B757, good job on the very nice Zvezda kit. You must have been busy building kits lately 😉 Cheers Eric B.
