Latest off the bench is the ICM Dornier 17Z-2 under the Eduard boxing. The aircraft depicted is 7 KG3, St. Trond, Belgium, August 1940. To you and me , the one they lifted from the Goodwin Sands and now resides in Cosford.

A fairly straight forward kit but the engine assembly and attachment to the wings is interesting to say the least and could have been easier.

You don't realise how big it is and how high it stands off the ground. As with most German bombers the view from the cockpit must have been panoramic. Lots of good detail there.

Anyway enough of me wittering on.

On to the pic's. Please feel free to comment etc. Thanks for looking.

Hallo

Well done. This aircraft is actually wonderful.  I built 2 of them once from paper in 1/33 scale! Next year the plastic 48 scale are on!

I admire your clean transparnt windows!

Happy modelling

Yes,  very nice.  As just said, the transparencies really set it off.  Especially when painted so carefully.   Is it a feature of Eduard that clear parts look crisp, thin and so clear?   It makes for a very pleasing model.  Kitchentable

Nice work Dick

I have one of these Eduard boxings in the stash so it’s good to see one built so nicely.

Great looking Dornier.:like:. The precise work on the framing and cockpit interior is superb which I think always makes such a difference to a model. And well done in keeping the glass areas crystal clear.

Plastic is ICM, re-boxed and enhanced with bits by Eduard. It is a feature of ICM kits that I have - nice sharp clear transparencies...
