sardaukar Posted September 18, 2024 Posted September 18, 2024 Is there a national shortage of Mr finishing surfacer 1500 black, 40ml pots? Anyone know an online store that still has it?

Seems to be a bigger issue than just UK shotage. Even Mojehobby / Super-Hobby which has basically everything else from Mr Hobby, is out of stock. MRP does a have black surfacer, Fine Surface Primer. But it's more matt, IIRC 1500 Black is more smooth and satin. I don't prime in black, so haven't used either of them that often. 1
sardaukar Posted September 19, 2024 Author Posted September 19, 2024 I've noticed it has been recommended a few places in the Warhammer hobby community possibly demand increased dramatically.
psdavidson Posted September 19, 2024 Posted September 19, 2024 You may be able to still find the Aqueous version available. It can also be thinned with MLT 1

TheKinksFan Posted September 19, 2024 Posted September 19, 2024 The Aqueous Surfacer is 1000, but the particles might be finer than lacquer 1000, at least the finish is really smooth. 1
Duncan B Posted October 8, 2024 Posted October 8, 2024 There has been a general shortage of Mr Hobby products in Europe for the last 18 months or more. Problems with shipping through the Red Sea is being bandied about as the excuse however the shortages started before the current troubles in that region intensified. Obviously the more popular items like the thinners and Mr FS Black sell out faster than some of the more obscure colours of paints. However we have been told by the Importers that stock levels of all items should be back to near normal levels by the end of October, we shall see. Duncan B 1
