Morantbay Posted August 9 Posted August 9 Couple beautiful trinkets came in the mail this week And just in time to show me the error of my ways in the Churchill group build .... better late than never? 2

ITA must be wondering what is going on. They have sold more copies of that book in the last few weeks than the previous year.😁 2
SimonL Posted August 10 Posted August 10 Picked up second hand from the swap and sell at WA scale model expo this morning. 7
SimonL Posted August 12 Posted August 12 Thanks @Milan Mynar. While the Grant and Sherman are part of my usual interests, the other two are a bit of change for me. I know very little about the subjects, and in the case of the RFM Tiger II it’s such a new kit I can find very little about how it might build. Perhaps sit it on the shelf with my M36 once I complete them as a Battle of the Bulge double? 2

PatrikF Posted August 23 Posted August 23 It's been a long time since my latest pick up... Well it was two weeks but I just had to 😂 I remember it as yesterday, I was like 11 y.o. listing through Czech magazine with plastic kits news and I saw this as "hot news." As a small kid, price of Dragon kits were too high for me and I lacked skills and rushed through my builds. I've spend last week in Italy, Florence and around so I convinced my other half to check local hobby shop. There was a large section of Dragon 1:35 scale kits and this one immidiately catched my eyes. Shop wasn't that cheap, but I already know that price of kits in Italy are on higher end, but anyway. It's good to support well supplied local hobby shops so they can remain open. It's good for newcomers to hobby to go to these places, check content and maybe even get a recommendations for good kits. Here's my Dragon Aufklarungspanzer 38(t) mit 2cm Kw.K 38 finally purchased after 18 years 😁 6

badger Posted August 25 Posted August 25 My latest purchase is a Revell 1/35 109 Series 3 Landrover off ebay. Been looking for one for a while and got this at a good price. Added the Firing Line upgrade set and a driver figure, then from BNA models in Australia a set of DEF resin wheels as sadly the Firing Lines are no better than the very poor kit ones (both have totally inaccurate tread patterns). Currently contemplating a FFR version so looking up radio fits. 1

Its a bit of a step up detail/skill wise compared to the Tamiya that I usually build, but its starting to take shape. 2

stevehnz Posted August 29 Posted August 29 A Dragon 1/72 Churchill Mk IV NA75 arrived from China. The kit looks OK in the box, tempted to borrow a 6 pdr barrel for my Italeri Mk III build. So far the DWS tracks seen happily pliable, but I'm wondering should I trust them or shell out for some OKB Grigorov ones? Oh hell, just seen the price of them from Super Model, sod that. Steve. 2

Muchmirth Posted September 4 Posted September 4 (edited) I sold one of my dioramas recently so allowed me to replen my “non-stash”… should keep me going a long time what with what I already have: From the one35 shop, model workshop (who I highly praise) and eBay. I fit my buys into two categories, what I call ‘stand alones’ or bought to fit a diorama I have planned. The boxer, tiger, Humber are my stand alone and rest for dios. The revel box is massive! And has fairly large pin injection marks. I’m hoping their on the inside. Just want to add three Sherman’s, a bronco adler, six wheel rad by italeri, skif mtlb, m3 grant by ilk and the Meng namer, the ibg Chevy fat four… then I’ll be happy….ish!
