StuartH Posted September 13 Posted September 13 Just thought it might be worth starting a thread regarding any AFV kits, aftermarket bits, books etc that you've recently acquired or got your eye on. As long as it's AFV related we'll see what bargains people have picked up. I'll kick things off. Recently added the Tamiya 1/48 Nashorn to the stash for about £25....not sure whether it'll be winter wash or 3 tone camo yet. Will try and source a metal barrel at some point too. 5
Shagohod Posted September 13 Posted September 13 Interesting kit, looking forward to seeing the result. I recently got this from my local hobby shop for about 50€: 4
Stef N. Posted September 13 Posted September 13 Good thread Stuart. No doubt I will be adding to it in the very near future. 👍😁 1
Keeff Posted September 13 Posted September 13 What a great thread ..... 👏 Well, as you've asked, I had these drop through the letter box a couple of days ago ..... Both kits are in the not-a-stash stash patiently waiting their turn ...... Keith ☺️ 3

I've yet to tackle an interior kit though definitely on my list to do and will be interesting to see how this one comes together.

They take a bit of time, can be frustrating but are worth the effort ...... and challenge! The miniart bax art is brilliant ...... but I've yet to tackle one of their kits! Keith ☺️ 1

FG2Si Posted September 15 Posted September 15 (edited) One of the local online shops was having a sale on Trumpeter kits a couple weeks ago so I finally went ahead and bought their Jagdtiger kit. At $255 CAD, it wasn't much more than the Andy's Tiger kit but the box is considerably bigger. Edited September 15 by FG2Si Fix typo 4 1 1
Stef N. Posted September 15 Posted September 15 Just been to the model show at Bovington. First off very nice to meet Roger Hamden on his table. 👍👍 Secondly I was rather disciplined and only got a book, Through The Lens 1, and one kit, a CSM Lanchester. 👍👍 3
Watto64 Posted September 15 Posted September 15 Recently added the Airfix 1/32 Rommel's Half Track to the stash.... seemed a bargain at £18 3

I hope you've got the space! 😁 4 hours ago, Stef N. said: Just been to the model show at Bovington. Those CSM WW1 kits have been on my radar for a while...I think they look to be outstanding kits 😀 1 hour ago, Watto64 said: Recently added the Airfix 1/32 Rommel's Half Track to the stash.... seemed a bargain at £18 Great find and can't say no at that price 👍 1 1

I've seen a few built and they always get good reviews. Not an overly complex but well detailed kit. It should be a fun build. 👍 2

flyboy2610 Posted September 17 Posted September 17 I've ordered from Andy before. First class A+ service! 3 1
flyboy2610 Posted September 17 Posted September 17 I was at Hobby Lobby recently. I made the "mistake" of going during their every-other-week 40% off plastic model kits sale. Came home with what I went for, plus another Tamiya 1/35 M41 Walker Bulldog. I now have 3 in the stash. I'm going to build one of each in US, German, and Japanese colors. The Japanese one will be my second build for the Asia GB. 2
sardaukar Posted September 19 Posted September 19 yesterday I got two new zvezda kits in 1/72. the new T-62, hopefully the first decent T-62 in 1/72. I also got the just released KV-1 another fairly unrepresented soviet tank in 1/72. I bit the bullet and bought from Poland which actually turned out cheaper than buying in the UK. the price for new zvezda kits is pretty high considering you could get their ww2 stuff for less than a tenner. 3

I've heard good reports about Zvezda (especially their Shermans). Seems like an underrated brand. Hope the T-62 meets expectations! I've ordered from Super Hobby in the past and have always been impressed by their service and speed of delivery 👍. Their range of stock is insane! 1
