Looks across👀 at @Enzo the Magnificent because I'm sure he said he's got some absolute GEMs:please:

It was also good for white metal buses, and I've never built one of those!

Id forgotten about buses etc. In the period for this GB there was a company called Transport Replicas,, and I made a couple of there kits, some of the kits are here

http://www.kwtrams.co.uk/product-category/cars-lorries-people

And other are now marketed by the Model Bus Federation but you have to be a member to buy their kits,

I need a couple of buses to go along with Railway 200 builds - what am I drawing myself into?

Joystick and Blue Rider  are other vacform manufacturers, although some of their kits may be post 1990. A good excuse to build my Blue Rider Bleriot XI that has been sat my stash since 1990. So basically I'm in for this.

Wot, no Starfix?

Count me in please Pat.

Jo-han, Merit, just about all the vac form makers, Hawk, Kitmaster, the list is endless. I'm getting dizzy just thinking about the possibilities.

Tony.

A quick query, I have the Aircraft in Miniature version of the Formaplane Hastings, would that qualify, given that I cannot see a new on appearing anytime soon, it might just get built.

Yes please, Pat, sign me up for this baby!

Are re-boxings acceptable? I'm thinking of the Testors reissues of the Hawk racers, Laird Solution etc.

Cheers,

Mark

Hi Mark

Great to have you with us

Yes reboxes are fine, as long as we can trace it back the an old kit it's good for me.

Plus my Scottishness is screaming the reboxes are much cheaper :goodjob:

I'm a bit disappointed that no one has suggested Beechnut Models, so here's a reminder on what you're missing out on

They just don't build them like this anymore

I had the Beechnut Curtiss YP-37 (my absolutely favourite aeroplane!) kit - it was so awful n every single way that I binned it.

I remain hopeful that someone like Halberd or SBS might come the rescue.....

As

Peco

Rosebud Kitmaster

Merit

Keil Kraft

are all in the list, I should be able to spare a model or two from the Railways 200 GB for this one. As I am also a card modeller how about: Biltezi and Micromodels to be added to the list?

Staying the obscure card kits, here's a firm I only encountered on Monday

No. contact details, but clearly very old. Not sure what sort of classic I'd class it as, certainly not brilliant but it was £2 in the till of the Bure Valley Railway so no harm done!

@JOCKNEY Pat, you can add Inpact and Life-Like to your manufacturers list. Some really great subjects, including reissues of the Pyro kits.

OOH! All growed up as a Future GB now; one of my more restrained thoughts is for an A-Z of obscure manufacturers! (It's what KingKit's for! - Other suppliers are avaliable)

I'll try.

I do have at least one of each of those and they all need built sometime

I have several other kits by the odd-ball makers

I'd like to get my Mushroom Models kit built too

Great stuff Fred

This GB is made for my stash, as I've got some head scratching makers and subjects that this is the ideal opportunity to build.

From a boringly practical point of view however, I'll need to rationalise other GBs if I want to avoid adding to all the unfinished builds littering the place !

Cheers Pat
