Noel Smith Posted September 11 Posted September 11 Superb quay side diorame. You get a real sense of how big battleships like the Bismark were when you see the lorries parked up close by. 1
Micha_Pol Posted September 12 Posted September 12 Monumental work here, both the ship and the harbor scene. Is the PE custom-made (like the horse carts) or from an aftermaket set? 1
Chris Hewitt Posted September 12 Posted September 12 That is an an impressive piece of modeling ,every so often ,something comes along and is just superb.I have been zooming in, the detail is on another level. Thanks for sharing. 1
GRK Posted September 13 Posted September 13 This is on another level, it’s absolutely amazing! Thanks for sharing it and well done on finishing it, I’d imagine quite a few of us think about doing something with this level of detail but get frustrated, bored or just don’t have the ability to pull it off! 1
Toryu Posted September 13 Posted September 13 That's fantastic! An enormous amount of detail and activity - very entertaining! 1
nearsightedjohn Posted September 13 Posted September 13 A masterpiece! Thank you for taking and posting all the photos of the details. Inspiring! 1
Keeff Posted September 14 Posted September 14 I can't believe the amount of detail there is ..... superb work and beautifully presented. Thank you for sharing! Keith ☺️ 1
2Step Posted September 21 Posted September 21 Oh Boy, I go nuts working with my 1/48 scale PE parts. This ... I don't think I would have survived that build, at least not sane ... Beautiful work! Cheers 1
Zoran Srb Posted September 29 Posted September 29 Wow!! I mean... WOW!!!! Unbelievable. The sheer amount of detail is overwhelming. You have to take multiple looks at each photo to take half of the details in!! If ever was an absolute show stopper, this is THE ONE. All effort you had to put in, has paid off!! This belongs in museum. I take my hat down Sir, congrats!! I hope you'll treat us with more. All the best! 2
Whofan Posted September 30 Posted September 30 It's a shame everything I wanted to say about this has already been said, but - absolutely wonderful ! It is a moment in history captured by you - absolutely incredible detail, and as others have said, a delight to look at the pictures again and find new detail not seen before. 1
NOVA73 Posted October 4 Author Posted October 4 Hello everyone. Thank you very much for all your comments and feedback on this assembly. It's really nice of you. I will post soon, a diorama on Russian ships (Kirov and Slava) at 1/350. Best regards Alain 1
Rumblestripe Posted October 7 Posted October 7 Extraordinary piece of work. You have transcended mere modelling that is a work of art. 1
Mr. Church Posted October 20 Posted October 20 A really beautiful diorama oozing with detail. You have definitely captured the colours and 'feel' of the old port areas of Hamburg. Especially like the greenish grey water. Again, a beautiful diorama. 1
Davethehat Posted October 21 Posted October 21 Came in late for this but absolutely outstanding work 👏 1
HL-10 Posted October 31 Posted October 31 Absolutely superb! Incredibly detailed work on such a small scale! Fantastic modelling👍 1
Michael Leek Posted November 5 Posted November 5 Impressive workmanship! The attention to small details, particularly dockside, pull the whole together very convincingly! Well done! Reminds me of the late Norman Ough’s diorama showing HMS Dorsetshire in dry dock! 1
Michael Leek Posted November 5 Posted November 5 The more I look at the detail in this diorama, including the subtle application of weathering, the more I like it! 1
