I’m lucky enough to live about 25 miles from Telford, and it takes me about an hour to get to a car park in Telford, if the traffic isn’t too bad. 
 

I’m already thinking about the money for Telford, too😁

Takes us about two and half hours, fortunately we live just off the where the M1and M62 cross and so a choice of routes.

Telford Days Inn for us, basic but very convenient.

 

For extra fun this year - we fly out to Nepal from Manchester Airport on Sunday evening - so going to be a very brisk departure at 4pm Sunday!

A Days Inn? I’ve stopped in those in the past, decent enough if not a bit basic.

I'm very lucky, I live a half hour pleasant country drive away.

Unless you've got mobility problems, the Council's Cherry Pink multi-storey car park about five mins walk away is noticeably cheaper than TIC parking, especially on Sunday.

I’ve just noticed that Special Hobby are listed in hall 2; this is the Special Hobby? If so, hooray!!

 

Crumbs, it’s getting back to pre covid days!!

The link to traders websites on the SMW expected traders page leads to the homepage of Special Hobby, so that will be a yes then. 

My new IPMS membership card (46 years now, longer than knowing Mrs T by eight years) dropped through the door yesterday, so a search for the printed Britmodeller card for the meet up revealed I am going to have to print a new one.

As I said, it’s getting more like pre lockdown SMW’s  - all we need now are Master (barrels) to attend and I shall be pretty happy!

Looking forward to this - only missed three since the first one at Stoneleigh. 

Where and when is the Britmodeller meet up - and how do you print off a Britmodeller badge?

You could always order them from Hannants.  Ten per cent off for the show that way.  It's made me happy a few times now.

Just placed my pre-show order for collection. I always like the 10% collection discount, in addition to not paying for postage as well!! Always a good saving for me.

chaps, I do order from Hannants - mine was in a week ago! As you say, the 10% discount is pretty good.

 

I used to love Master coming as they had great display cases, and always seemed to have stock of everything I wanted to buy.

I really don't want to be a downer here, but folks need to be aware of the possibility of getting Covid at the show. I know five people who've been infected with it in the last two months. 

 

Also, you can forget the idea that the virus is just like the common cold, these days. It most definitely is NOT. My brother had it recently, started about six weeks ago, and he's still feeling some very unpleasant side-effects. 

 

This is not meant to scare people - please just take every precaution you can. I would thoroughly recommend getting vaccinated before you turn up at Telford.

Amending some information

Sounds like its going to be good show again. I'm not there this year, letting the younger generation get used to taking care of the display.

Planning on next year with a change of scene.
