stevej60 Posted August 21, 2024 Posted August 21, 2024 Hi folk's my build will be the immortal Spitfire, think of the few and despite the equally important roll the Hurricane played the Spitfire comes to mind imediately. The MK2 went into development as soon as the Mkl went into production with an engine producing a higher rate of climb as early as summer 1940 began entering service although the MKl bore the brunt of the fighting that fateful summer. 15
stevej60 Posted August 21, 2024 Author Posted August 21, 2024 My previous build of this kit was the BoB memorial flight's short lived Air sea Rescue scheme. 15
LorenSharp Posted August 21, 2024 Posted August 21, 2024 Pardon the phrase, but here's the First of the Few. Welcome aboard Steve. 1
stevej60 Posted September 1, 2024 Author Posted September 1, 2024 Morning folk's time to cut plastic and start this one, main parts cleaned up and the plan is to get off to a flyer hope to blitz it this week to get ahead as a possible second 1/32 project for this GB might be on the cards. 8
Geo1966 Posted September 1, 2024 Posted September 1, 2024 Good idea to get an early start Steve. I can't imagine trying to get a 1/32 done in 3 months, let alone two. Good luck with both. George 1

stevej60 Posted September 2, 2024 Author Posted September 2, 2024 Evening folk's,put aside the wings for now to get the cockpit and sub assemblies built, painted the radiator interior before assembly and primed the fuselage interior etc. Last job tonight was to spray the interior gray/green I'm using model air early RAF colours on this one. 14
stevej60 Posted September 4, 2024 Author Posted September 4, 2024 Morning all, here's where I am as of this morning, hope to maybe have her assembled and possibly primed by the weekend, the wings are fully assembled and drying just a little sanding to clean up the seams. 13

Many thank's Harry, yes sometimes I feel like I'm mass producing kit's, I find trying to concentrate on a single build very difficult and where sometimes kits fall by the wayside I know very few would get done as single project's that BoB spitfire is one of my favourite builds, here's a couple of other 1/32 Spitfire's Hobbyboss Vb and Revell's Mkix. 6
