Iain Ogilvie Posted August 10, 2024 Posted August 10, 2024 Hi all, Don't suppose anyone's seen any 3-view drawings out there for the Thruxton Jackaroo have they? An initial Google draws a blank - except for a fuselage side view. Asking for a friend... Iain
Farmer matt Posted August 10, 2024 Posted August 10, 2024 Warpaint 101 DH82 Tiger Moth has a 1/48 profile portside only. This therefore shows the increase in length of 8 inches, and not the increase in width of 12.5 inches. Matt 1
MODeller Posted August 10, 2024 Posted August 10, 2024 (edited) There is a MAP set of plans which were included in an old Scale models article which I have found buried in my external harddrive. If you forward an email address to me I will send the file to you. MODeller Edited August 11, 2024 by MODeller Spelling 2 1
Iain Ogilvie Posted August 11, 2024 Author Posted August 11, 2024 Oooh, thank you - that would be fabulous! [email protected] should find me... Iain
noelh Posted August 11, 2024 Posted August 11, 2024 This came up before. The article was in the April 1975 edition of Scale Models magazine. I actually remember getting that magazine. If @MODellerhadn't made his offer. You might have been able to acquire a copy of the original from a well known auction site. 1
Iain Ogilvie Posted August 11, 2024 Author Posted August 11, 2024 Received! Brilliant - can't thank you enough - that's exactly what I was looking for. I have a 'spare' ICM Tiger Moth in 1:32 that may end up becoming a Jackaroo... Iain 1
DFC Posted August 11, 2024 Posted August 11, 2024 As one who as a teenager in the 1960s had his first flight in a Jackaroo from the sands of Morecambe Bay I would like to be able to add drawings to my personal files. Can you help, please? 2
MODeller Posted August 11, 2024 Posted August 11, 2024 Certainly just forward your email address and I will fire them off!
Paul Thompson Posted August 12, 2024 Posted August 12, 2024 DFC, just a word of caution for the future - better to PM your private email addy, or it isn't private anymore. Paul. 1 1 1
alancmlaird Posted September 26, 2024 Posted September 26, 2024 I remember doing a set of drawings for the Jackaroo back in the 1960s with measurements taken off a real one in the Airwork hangar at Scone Airport. I took some b/w photos and slides at the time, My intention was to convert Airfix's old 1/72 Tiger Moth, but my measuring and photography proved the kit was so awful it couldn't even be built into a good Tiger Moth. I have just bought a couple of Tiger Moths in Lldl and one I had already intended to convert to a Jackeroo, so the reason for this begging letter is, could one or other nice chaps on here send me a copy of the drawing mentioned herein please, petty please?
MODeller Posted September 27, 2024 Posted September 27, 2024 PM your email address and I will forward it on.
