k7rkx Posted August 7 Posted August 7 Hi All, So I'm currently building the above kit alongside ICMs Ju-88A-4 and I've noticed that the A-4 tells you to build up a seat (D11, D15 & D28) and attach it to the right fuselage, alongside the pilot seat - so far, so good. However, the C-6 omits this seat entirely, and I'm not sure if this is correct as I always thought (dangerous, I know) that the nightfighter had a 3 man crew. Now I know the ICM cockpit is inaccurate, but I couldn't find any clear pictures to indicate that there should be a seat there on the C-6. Any thoughts? Cheers
pigsty Posted August 7 Posted August 7 My Dragon Ju 88C-6b had three seats. I can't completely vouch for its accuracy; but that seems like a strange thing to get wrong under so much glass.
treker_ed Posted August 7 Posted August 7 Seems to be a few years too early... Should be in WWII area. Has been requested to be moved. 1
tempestfan Posted August 7 Posted August 7 If I'm not mistaken, the A's had four-men crews (pilot, nav/bombardier, engineer, wireless op); Zerstörer and Nachtjäger would not necessarily have needed a bombardier.

dov Posted August 7 Posted August 7 Hallo Basically the ICM kit seat position of the left fuselage side is wrong. Vertically. All other issues I can not answer. You may check my threads of the Ju-88 A-4 and 5 from ICM. Happy modelling 1
Bozothenutter Posted August 7 Posted August 7 We have a resident JU-88 specialist, I have some of his aftermarket stuff. (Specifically the C-6 stuff) I forgot his name, but one of the other members might remember and tag him? 1

Looks like it was a fold down bicycle seat. Time for some scratch building. Cheers Kirk 1
dov Posted August 8 Posted August 8 Hallo At page 13 and 18 you may see the correct seat position on the left fuselage side. You also may know, that the cockpit framing, many of the frames are inside only! And also, that all Ju-88 had curtains due to prevent sun! Happy modelling 2
dov Posted August 8 Posted August 8 Hallo Here are some remarkable photos of a Ju-88 workstations. And details. From restauration! https://forum.largescaleplanes.com/index.php?/topic/21808-junkers-88-a1-detail-photos/ Happy modelling 1
