Tbolt Posted July 26, 2024 Posted July 26, 2024 Interesting. White 14 is going to take some super human airbrush skills to pull that scheme off. 1

If this is the same white 14, the mottling is not that tidy, there's some noticeable over spray. https://www.nevingtonwarmuseum.com/me-163b-white-14.html 1 1

cvrle Posted July 27, 2024 Posted July 27, 2024 That looks insanely detailed for the scale. Not sure I could do it justice, but the French one is enticing...
Mark Copeland Posted July 28, 2024 Posted July 28, 2024 What smashing news!! Excellent choice GasPatch Models!! Put me down for several!!

There were two completely different white 14s at same time in two completely different airbases. Only difference is the mottling. 1 1

warhawk Posted July 29, 2024 Posted July 29, 2024 The two Me163s I mentioned were the "White 14" of JG 400 stationed at Brandis, not to be confused with "White 14" of JG 400 stationed at Wittmundhafen. Brandis one is fairly well documented, and can be found at Rob de Bie's excellent Me 163 pages. Note that this one lacked the white nose and the unit emblem. Problem is that this is not the aircraft with heavier mottling, as stated by Gaspatch. That one was the Wittmundhafen one, and can be seen at p.66 of "Osprey Aviation Elite units" volume on JG400. Funny enough, two "views of the same aircraft" are shown on that page, clearly showing different mottling (lower photo even showing the lack of white nose and emblem!) Osprey color profile section features well-rendered profiles of both machines (No. 9 and 10), but places them both at Brandis. Let me know if You would like scans sent via PM. 1 1
Stickleback Posted July 30, 2024 Posted July 30, 2024 I think a part of the Osprey colour profile section of Me 163‘s, as mentioned before, including both of the „white 14“‘s profiles, may be looked at by using the following link (scroll down about half way): https://www.hobbylink.com/community/members/122706/261773_gallery.htm

Stickleback Posted August 6, 2024 Posted August 6, 2024 Today there‘s a review on Hyperscale with lots of pictures of the kit parts. 2
WillDeeks Posted August 7, 2024 Posted August 7, 2024 I'll be interested to see reviews from people actually building the thing, as opposed to just drooling over it in the box.

Gaspatch kits have excellent fit, so it is very unlikely that they would have released something that is not up to their high standards. 1

ChristianK Posted August 7, 2024 Posted August 7, 2024 Wow, truly amazing. I never wanted to build a Me 163, but this is tempting..
