PeteH1969 Posted October 26 Posted October 26 You need one of these for your build plate no chance of damaging your build plate removing prints. https://www.amazon.co.uk/TMYPN-Anycubic-Flexible-Magnetic-Platform/dp/B0D88GG968?source=ps-sl-shoppingads-lpcontext&ref_=fplfs&smid=A2KVF7QXNCLV8H&th=1 I have them on my satrun and it's great. rockpopandchips Posted November 1 Author Posted November 1 Hi all The v2.0 build plate for the printer had arrived, it quite a bit different to the original. The 4 leveling screws should sort the problem of the machine not self leveling correctly and the surface of the plates looks "well cool" 😊😊 Im just waiting for the new highend heating system to arrive, it a brew belt. This made me chuckle... 1
rockpopandchips Posted November 4 Author Posted November 4 Well after much messing about I'm getting to dial this printer in. Refitted the centre screw, new v2 build plate, so the printer is leveling now, new ACF fitted and a brew belt to keep the resin nice and warm. The RERF file has printed quite well at 2.25 - 2.50 normal exposure, once I have a run a few more prints I will get some NFEP and compare the prints to using the ACF. I'm not going to run and fast prints due to the cost of the resin needed so might as well check if there is much difference in the 2 release films. 1
rockpopandchips Posted November 28 Author Posted November 28 Quick update for you all, I sold on the M5s. It just wasn't to standard, I had a lot of help sorting on here from my local club, but I was never happy with the results. I now have an Elegoo Saturn 3. I have lost some nice to haves like the wifi printing but the Saturn just works and the details are mind-boggling and very smooth. Im very happy with it. This was the first exposure test out of the box as a complete guess. A little overexposed but the details are there from the start, a lot more than I could say for the M5s. 1
bootneck Posted November 28 Posted November 28 That's good news Brian but don't put down the M5s as being a bad machine. You bought it second hand with loads of issues that wouldn't have been found in a brand new machine. Looking forward to seeing some WiPs with your printed models. cheers, Mike 1 1
