May I present you my rendition of Tamyia's 1/32 Corsair:

The VMF-321 F4U-1A flown by 1st Lt. Robert Whiting on Guam, August 1944.

Every praise about this kit is true, it plays in another league. The fit and engineering is second to none and it was a very enjoyable build.

From the aftermarket came:

- HGW seatbelts

- Baracuda cockpit stencils

- Eagle Cal Decals

- Barracuda wheels

This is one gorgeous Corsair.  Just a fine job on the build and the painting and weathering are done so well.  Thanks for sharing.

Excellent Corsair! Everything looks perfectly correct (which is not often the case with recent models). 10/10 points!

Yes I  agree with everyone else. I think it's pretty much as good as any Corsair build I've seen. The weathering is just right too. Just enough and true to the original. I  particularly like the way you depicted the wear on the back of the propellor blades. Just like photos of the real thing.

Nice one!

Excellent rendition of an almost perfect kit.

Yeah, Tamiya makes a modeler's life easy with this one.

I love it, Barney. Very colorful!!

I also like the contrast between the blues and the yellow.  Most sources tell that VMF-321 Corsairs had white prop hubs and stabilizer ends. But after examination of some (black and white) photos I decided that they were most probably yellow. And I liked the yellow more than the white 😉

I put the model in a photo box. That's basically a big cardboard box set up vertically with the opening towards the front. And on the inside it is covered with a big white sheet .  And a lot of light from the top and around it.

Concerning the photography I am still learning. Until recently I only used my smartphone but some weeks ago I got an old second hand digital reflex camera. But to be honest I am not yet satisfied with my understanding of it and my skills to use it.

Wow!
That’s definitely one of the best Corsair models I’ve ever beheld.

Looks like I could jump in and fly away in it (if I knew how to fly it).

Amazing!  👏👏👏👏
