A lot of work but you ended up with a very nice F105D in that camo scheme - especially like your sunset photos

Beautiful!, Great Photography also Well worth the effort.  Love what you did in bringing the rarely seen F-105 in  Euro One to the table .

Lovely! And, in a nicely-busy diorama. Where did you get the figures and ground equipment?

Ground equipment & figures are a mix of Hasegawa & Esci

Still scared witless about uploading anything here.

Your post would suggest your fears are groundless... :)

Looks really good. Never knew this type flew in that camo... Thanks for sharing.

Bravi! Very nicely done, all of it! :clap2:

Nice to see camo other than SEA, too.

Yowzah-nice Thud and a very realistic diorama; reminds me of the one at the USAF Museum! :goodjob:

Was it worth it??? Hell yes!

Fantastic work especially with the other airfield furniture! What scale?

I should of put it in the title. Its 1/48th. Trumpeter do the 1/32 & 1/72….yet the HB kit is pretty much a rescale of both of these. So I don’t get that.

But in all seriousness, never again! I’ll stick to Monogram for all future Thuds, life is too short!

As someone who lived five miles from Hill AFB at one point, I always appreciate F-105s from Utah.  Used to see them fly over the house all the time.  However, by the time they were sporting Euro One paint schemes, I was long gone having been stationed at Ft. Lewis, WA.  Superb work.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but from what I can find out this was the only one to receive the European 1 paint job. The other were wraparound SEA, and the one-off ‘Desert Fox’ in a 3-tone brown  scheme.

Not certain.  I only saw those that were painted in SEA with very light gray bottoms and the SEA wraparound.

Your sunset photos could easily pass for the Hill AFB flight line looking west over the Great Salt Lake.
