Nice work. I must confess that I didn't even know about this plane before your post.

What a cool looking aircraft though. The gull wing, the odd triple rudder, the elaborate landing gear, it's a real melting pot of interesting features. Yet, it looks really good!

Another nice build and of a kit I have in my in-tray.

Air Atlantique based at Coventry maintained one in flying condition - G-APRS - until a few years ago when the collection was disposed of. A superb Festival of 1950s Aviation was held a couple of times and I have always regretted not taking the opportunity to have a flip around the airfield in the Twin Pin. However, I have seen it flying at zero ground speed such are its STOL capabilities. One of my favourite aircraft.

Like that, very nice indeed. One of my now retired work colleagues worked on the Twin Pin production line.

Nice.  No white cockpit roof, though?  That's a bit of a surprise.

Did the Twin Pioneers in this scheme have a white roof? XL993 doesn't have one in the RAFM Cosford.

I'm not sure.  But so many of the transport aircraft in that scheme did have one, I was just surprised to find it wasn't all of them.

Absolutely splendid model, I particularly like the fire extinguisher mounted in the side!

That looks really good Pete, well done.  I have always liked the look of the twin pin, both camouflaged and in the silver/white schemes.  I have been wondering about getting one of these kits for some time- you have convinced me.

Lovely build, Valom kits have a bit of a rep but this one has come out really well!

As @CH-53D said, the fire extinguisher in the side caught my eye, too!

If only Valom had included that detail, together with the clear panel, on their Valetta!  Looks like someone swiped the first-aid kit and asbestos gloves, though.  This is a seriously awesome job, @Pete in a shed--most impressive!  How did you do the precise black outlines around the side cockpit windows?  That detail alone brings everything in focus and draws attention to the quality of your work.

Nice job on the Twin Pin, hopefully when I get my Mojo back I can start on mine and hopefully it will look as good as yours, I did notice on mine that the trailing edges needed sharpening up a bit

Could well be the one we have at HARS now. It flew in last year and will fly again soon. It's allover white. Lovely job on your model.

Thanks. I rarely make RAF aircraft but like you the Twin Pins unusual design features really appealed to me. I wish there was a model of the Pioneer II (single engine) which with its flaps down is another interesting looking STOL aircraft.

To fly on one would have been great. I once saw a Chipmunk virtually stationary in the air in a strong wind, just hanging there, amazing.

I looked at many photos but didnt see any with white cockpit tops. I think that was maybe only on the Argosy and Beverley.

What a great job. The type of work I would have liked to do.

Thank you very much. The canopy sides were completely devoid of any frame detail, so all the frames were carefully masked off and painted on. To do each of the black outlines I used 8 pieces of thin black decal. The curved corners were cut from window outlines I found in my decal bank, The corners were then joined together with aftermarket black decal stripe of the same thickness. Time consuming but I couldnt think of any other way of doing it. I had to cut the carrier film as close as possible to the black as I didnt want dried masking fluid to pull them off after the final spraying of varnish had taken place.

Thanks. Yes the trailing edges are quite thick, I probably should have taken them down a bit more to be scale accurate.
