Piotr Mikolajski Posted June 20, 2024 Posted June 20, 2024 (edited) Info from the ad in July issue of Scale Aircraft Modelling. Unfortunately no other info, just catalogue number 72062. Options: Douglas AD-1 Skyraider NASA AD-1 (sometimes called Ames-Dryden-1) Other options don't come to my mind, which is not to say there aren't any. Of the two above, it seems to me that NASA is the more likely choice. Edited June 29, 2024 by Piotr Mikolajski 1
Giorgio N Posted June 21, 2024 Posted June 21, 2024 An early Skyraider would be very welcome! Actually a series of Skyraiders before the AD-6 would be very welcome. Ok, I'd be happy enough with a series of conversions for the Hasegawa kit but full kits would be even better. Of course if we don't know yet which of the 2 subjects will actually be produced, it's too early to get excited

Mu17 Posted July 1, 2024 Posted July 1, 2024 This aircraft completely vindicated the Blohm und Voss Bv.P.202 which could have been built and flown with 1944/45 technology. Paul
Piotr Mikolajski Posted July 1, 2024 Author Posted July 1, 2024 I'm afraid that 'could have been built and flown with 1944/45 technology' phrase is a little bit too optimistic. "The need to perform detailed analysis before the prototype could be built would significantly delay its creation and this disqualified the aircraft in view of the RLM experts."
