Air Cadet Simulator

I thought I would share the flight simulator that is nearing completion on my local Air Cadet Squadron.  It is a ‘labour of love’ for one of the members of staff; he has a wealth of capabilities from 3D design, large scale fibreglass moulding, electronics, computer programming and wood work.

 

 

 

 

 

the control columns are interlinked, the various switches etc are fully functional as are the engine controls.  The only thing yet to resolve is coupling the rudder pedals - at the moment the ‘instructor pedals’ are programmed as priority.  The overall cost is proving ‘very reasonable’ although time hasn’t been factored in.

Unfortunately, due to a falling out, I have quit the Air Cadet Organisation.  Therefore I cannot update information about this facility other than as of 2 months ago it was functioning perfectly and the first formal instructional course was about to commence.
