Hello Everybody … So I was thinking of doing an F4U Corsair single type build. Then it dawned on me how about a gull winged aircraft build. This includes Land, Sea, Inverted, and for @Adam Poultney sailplanes.
Anything that has flown, is/was on the drawing boards, or historical sketches or prototypes by designers like Chanute, Langley, R.J.Mitchell, or Leonardo Da Vinci would also be acceptable. Following is a list from Wikipedia of the most well known military types.

I happen to have in my stash a Special Hobby Ju 87 D, with which I have been patiently waiting for a suitable GB to come and then hop in. Looks like that day has finally come . V-P

I’ve got a P.11 dual boxing I’d be keen to pull out so count me in.

I think a case could aaaaaaallmost be made for the B-25? Building one at the moment and it’s a little gull-ish.

Hello Karearea welcome aboard, Seeing as the Stinson reliant has a similar wing shape Yes the B-25 is allowed. It goes up from the center only to dip after the engines.

Absolutely, I have a Corsair in the stash but I’m sure I can find something more esoteric 😀

Welcome along to the build, the more esoteric and odd the better.

Well there is this the Northrop Grumman firebird.

Well there are two Ive never heard of. The N/G Firebird is unique in that it’s a double gull.
From the front it’s an inverted gull wing like a Stuka or Corsair

as well as from above/below.

With that interpretation, add the Lysander

As for what I'd build, one or more of PZL P.1, P.11, or P.24.

Sounds interesting. Three more that I think would qualify are the Miles Master, Fairey Gannet and Piaggio P.166, all of which are in my stash, so count me in.

Definitely in with the Master/Martinet family. The Gannet is in, as is the Piaggio. I will add you and welcome to the build.

My Curtiss Sparrowhawk needs a reason to be destacked. Does it make the gull cut? It's a tiny gull, but it's there!

I agree it is ever so slight but the Gull shape is definitely present in the upper wing.

Hi Dennis

Great idea for a GB, I'm in.

I take my hat off to you for remembering the Short Knuckleduster !

If anyone knows where I could find one, I'd promise to build it :fingerscrossed:

Cheers Pat

Hello Pat I would love to take credit for the list but most of the names came from Wikipedia. I checked but the only model I could find of the knuckleduster was a wooden carved desktop statue. I couldn't even find a vacuform kit so I don't think anyone has made one.

Well, I have the sum total of zero kits for this one in my not-a-stash stash, but will throw my virtual hat into the melee ....

I have a second Revell B-25 Mitchell that I was planning on building as a night fighter, dressed appropriately in gloss black. So the gull wing part passes muster, but what about the gloss black night fighter scheme? Never happened as far as I can find out.

Still allowable? Count me in if so.

I can say it’s allowed as it’s a plausible idea. It had speed, maneuverability, carried a radar in some versions, and in its strafing firm could have as many as 14 guns aimed forward.
