Excellent build. The asymetric load got my attention. I presume a high speed cannon is carried where the external wing tank would normally be seen?

Lovely build Dan - the exhaust staining is particularly good

Superb build Dan always nice to see a Sandy in camoflage and "tooled up" with a full load,How did you do the painting ? I'm sick of looking at my Thunderchief in it's tan base

coat needing the two greens painting you've got the demarcation lines looking spot on.

All done free hand Steve, I used SEA paints from MRP and they spray beautifully, the Bulk was done using an Iwata TR-1 brush with a 0.3 needle, this was more like blocking in the main colours.

For tightening up the demarcation lines I used my Iwata CM-C with the pressure really dialled down and I added a drop of levelling thinner to further thin down the MRP paint. You have to get really close (less than a cm) to the surface and keep the brush moving but the results are excellent. Primer was Mr Surfacer 1500 black thinned down 60% Levelling thinner - 40% paint. Any roughness in the primer coat was knocked  back with Micromesh.

Great looking Skyraider.  Have a soft spot in my heart for this airplane as a bombing run by a Navy Skyraider saved my scruffy behind.  Just superb and thanks for sharing.

That's pretty much a perfect build Vietnam War Skyraider. Brilliant model.

Great job Dan, superb attention to detail with some really nice touches.  Some particularly highlights being the variation in colour on the bombs rather than being all identical green. The weathering on the drop tanks, the helmet hanging from the cockpit, the cockpit itself, the exhaust staining...

Super modelling

OK Dan, you've built the obligatory wingy thing, now get back to building something with tracks and a big stick out in front that goes BANG!:)

But on a more serious note, that does look good mate. I really like the SE Asia cammo. You've done a great job on it. I remember seeing these in the TV program "Tour of Duty".

Great to see coming together in your thread. I’ve learned a lot following your threads. Like to see how you do things as your finish and weathering is brilliantly executed…. I know zero out this plane but looks wonderful.
fantastic job and glad to see you back at it!
