Hi All,

Latest project started few days ago, not a massive WIP, build is simple ish, just adding a few aftermarket bits, Aber cleaning rods, Panzerart barrel when it arrived, R model tracks, have 3d tools but the brackets I have for shovel and axe head are not good enough, tools and clamps by mig.

Will be Richard Freiherr Von-Rosen machine nr 300 Paderborn Sept 44.

Read his book - very interesting read finished a General in 1982.

Yep, those wheels are very nice - as is the zim'. Good start! 😎👍

Many Thanks Andy, zim was very brittle, problem area was the MG mantlet, just fell apart, may try some filler to create that part 🤔

Hi mbthejester,

A good start, although it is already very advanced.
Good job with the wheels, a good base to work on them.
The Zimm, are they MENG stickers? In my last MENG KT kit that I made, although it was with the other turret, I also used that, although in my case they were from TAMIYA, even so, it could fit well.

Cheers

Francis.👍

Arrgghhhh Nooooooo

Disaster strikes

Thought I would try AK elastic masking stuff,

wish I went freehand, And it pulled big bits of the Zim off, absolutely gutted 😞

Can anyone suggest fixes please ? Before the bin calls 😞

Sorry to see what happened to your zim Mark but a lot of period pictures show vehicles with bits missing of zim, just paint the affected areas primer colour.

Don't bin it just for that!

Blimey! We've got more Tigers on here than London Zoo.

Now as you know, almost anything with a black cross on it is not to my taste, but.......didn't this Zimmerit stuff come away from the body of the tank? Can't you just make the bits where it's come away look as though it's been chipped?

Anyway, apart from that Mark, it's looking really good.

I'd refit random smaller sections of zim in the gaps to replicate the above mentioned damaged Zim. You could lose the straight edge on the front armour with smaller patches.

Your Tigger looks great btw.

Here's one I prepared earlier with damaged zim. Not on a par with yours but........

Many thanks Roger, will have to try to repair it a bit somehow as the wagon I am building was in great condition and pretty clean, video of it taking a parade at Paderborn Sept 44

also noticed I I think it has transport tracks on too.

Thanks John, truly appreciated 👍spot on it got battered, I believe even concentrated small arms could damage it.
