P-51 Mustang STGB 5: Accurate Miniatures 1/48 P-51 with resin Allison engine

Recommended Posts

This kit included a Verlinden Allison resin engine, so I decided it would be a good way to get familiar with modifying kit parts and using resin. Used Tamiya and Gunze paints with kit decals. Made the desert base out of sandpaper and dirt painted over with Tamiya Buff paint, matte varnished, and glued to a sheet of packing foam. Was a pleasant build. Hope you all like it!

With the panels off, that nose looks like it goes on forever.  A wonderful build of the early Mustang and great work on the aftermarket engine.  Looks really good.  Thanks for sharing.

Thank you gents! This is probably the build I’m most proud of so far along with my Monogram Crusader, hard to choose.
