What if: Hermann's white Me 109 E

Anno 1941:

Germany rules the sky over occupied Europe.

Hermann Goring is flying a white Me 109 E for his inspections of the airfields.

In memory of his white Fokker DVII during WW-1.

Still a slim man at the time to fit the tight cockpit.

Staying out of reach from the RAF  fighters ,and being escorted by several Me 109's as personal bodyguards.

A simple kit with not much detail to worry about or even worth showing...

Looking forward to this unusual scheme Erwin.

Gavin.

Nothing special.

It's overall satin white.

Nice idea as a Whiffer.  Perhaps a suggestion.  Knowing the Fat One's predilection in later life for glittery and sparkly things and also collecting art might some "adornments" by way of heraldry , hunting or suchlike be considered???  Just a thought.  His DVII was just plain white though so maybe best stick with that?

It will need several coats to cover the green plastic.

Comparing the 109 to the P-47 made me realize just how small the 109 is.

Or how big the P-47 is.

Hermann would never fit.

Maybe I should have given him a captured P-47 !

Patience required with the many thin coats of white paint! (Btw, if Hermann is to fly, the Whif should possibly include no serious injury so no drugs and weight gain. He then fits in a Bf109 no problem). Looking at the size difference, I wonder what the Luftwaffe pilots thought when the P-47 first hove into view! Good luck with your build. Regards, Mike.

Great seeing this one join the GB.

I don't envy you the white paint over that green plastic :fingerscrossed:

Look forward to following this one

Cheers Pat
