Cheers, Alistair Cheers Alistair, but I have a nasty step to sort out just in front of the bomb aimers window... Thanks @elger and @Hamden. While leaving the fuselage to set overnight I set to with some small stuff. Canopy masked. Turrets built. Bombs loaded (but not fused) Knob on the top glued together. Let`s see what can be done tomorrow. Simon. 7 1

Side windows and bomb aimer position masked. Undercarriage painted. One of the "Upper legs was sort moulded but no problems there. And tailwheel painted. Just need to touch up the tyre. Simon. 8

Seam filled and sanded. Window added. Engines together ready for mounting (Fnar). Firewalls added, but I cannot see why they detailed them, nowt can be seen once the nacelles are fitted. Here’s my take on tackling all things chrome: MOLOTOW Liquid Chrome. 😉 5

Looking nice Simon Quick question, I note you have glued the fuselage together, I'm guessing you have a way to put the front/rear turrets in after post glue/paint?? If so, would you mind sharing your secret please, as I was going to leave out the guns in my build if, having to put in turrets when gluing the fuselage together. Thanks Alan Edited April 24, 2024 by LDSModeller 1

Thanks Alan Hi Alan, According to the destructions the turrets are fitted after the two halves of the fuselage are glued together. As for the guns themselves , they are moulded into the "Holding" part that attaches to the turret bottom. I will post a pic later. Simon.

Brandy Posted April 24, 2024 Posted April 24, 2024 Looking great! Airfix have obviously come a long way since we had to glue the guns through a giant ring that was the gunners hands! Ian 2 1

I ended up cutting the gunners away from the guns leaving just the fixing lug and ring to fit into the turret. If I remember correctly the pilots use to look like the "Elephant" men? Simon. 3
