Thanks @Spookytooth for the shout out,

I ‘m liking your take on tackling the internal geodetic structure, on the back of this I’ve placed an online order for one to give it a go.

Here’s my take on tackling all things chrome: MOLOTOW Liquid Chrome.

Looking nice Simon

Quick question, I note you have glued the fuselage together, I'm

guessing you have a way to put the front/rear turrets in after post glue/paint??

If so, would you mind sharing your secret please, as I was going to leave out

the guns in my build if, having to put in turrets when gluing the fuselage together.

Thanks

Alan

Hi Alan, According to the destructions the turrets are fitted after the two halves of the fuselage are glued together.

As for the guns themselves , they are moulded into the "Holding" part that attaches to the turret bottom.

I will post a pic later.

Looking great!

Airfix have obviously come a long way since we had to glue the guns through a giant ring that was the gunners hands!

The have indeed Ian.

I ended up cutting the gunners away from the guns leaving just the fixing lug and ring to fit into the turret.

If I remember correctly the pilots use to look like the "Elephant" men?
