Hello folks. i am having an hard time figuring out which one i should choose, Miniart Pz.Kpfw.IV Ausf. H Nibelungenwerk or Border Pz.Kpfw.IV Ausf.H early/mid. Bouth kit`s seems to be exelent kit to use for an Normandie 1:35 Diorama cene. Operation overlord to be precise. am not out for Interiour as i gona have a comander in the cupola as the panzer fire on an sherman tank. but am as said most intrested for the one panzer that will look best on the diorama or best in general. i will get Aftermarked decals, so decals is not in focus. Thx for answear

Not familiar with the kits and how they build up, but do note both your choices are without zimmerit coating.   This would be rare for the Normandy time frame but they did exist.   It does step aside your intention of keeping the subject in how it appeared in general.  Linked discussion with some photos . . .

Another good link here discussing zimmerit

Well to add zimmerit or not, it really depends on the individuals tolerance about accuracy.   To some a panzer IV is a panzer IV, while to others the zimmerit makes it more specific to a time frame.   It is an interesting detail in itself but, it would also be interesting if it lacked zimmerit too because of the historical period being portrayed.   Choose what appeals to you since you are ultimately building for your enjoyment.

Zimmerit wasn't applied to Ni-Werke Panzer IVs until late 1943, so if yoj are building an earlier or mid-production Ausf. H, you could get away with no zimmerit.
