Courageous
Hi all. Here is my recently completed build of a Centurion Mk. V MBT using the Ace kit in 1/72. This was built as part of the the 'Baby Boomers' Group Build. Build log here: Had a bit of a love/hate relationship with this kit; love the detail but hated the parts count, the clean up and fitting. I have a number of Ace kits so I know what to expect in the future. Thanks for looking. Stuart 41
beefy66
Well not much of a group build person me but this has turned out great Stuart like the base and subtle weathering great job. Stay Safe beefy
robgizlu
My thoughts echo Beefy's exactly - great looking model and dio - the detail on 1/72 seems to be improving++ Rob
echen
Very impressive. Hope my 1/72 ACE Shot Kal Dalet turns out as well as your Centurion has done. (I now know about the high ACE kits part count...)
Bullbasket
Very nice build Stuart, and it looks good on that base. Good work on the figure also. John.
Courageous
@beefy66 @robgizlu, cheers guys, much appreciated. Group builds have there place, they can focus the build within a time restraint which helps with stash reduction, not usually a place for ships though. @echen, thanks, I'm sure your 'Shot Kal' will look great. @Bullbasket, cheers John. A simple base is my go to, gives it context and the figure gives it scale. Stuart
sardaukar
Wow this looks great, I have a few ACE centurions in the stash and its nice to see you making a great job out of one of them.

Terry1954
Excellent result there Stuart, really impressive. That last shot in particular shows the subtlety of your weathering which can be quite a challenge in small scale. You pulled that off a treat. AFV's are the only builds I do weathering and subtle at that. Haven't seen much output from your new man cave... Stuart
Lightningboy2000
Excellent work Stuart. I've got a few Ace kits & looks a bit of a battle with all the fiddly little parts they pack into their boxes. As you know I've got the one with the extended range fuel tank & with my progressive skills I wouldn't know where to stop with the weathering. I'd probably have weathered it a bit more but hard to tell when to stop in this scale.
Donald
That's a great looking kit on a fine diorama. I quite like 1/72 or 1/76 scale for vehicle models: quickish build usually, and they don't take up too much space.

I too have a number of Ace kits, so it's something to get used to. Weathering has never been my strong point, so subtlety is my game. 5 hours ago, Donald said: 1/72 or 1/76 scale for vehicle models Thanks matey. If you're limited for space, it's the way to go. I always base them with something to give context and scale. Stuart
